Current Vacancies

Due to Broadwater Mouldings continuing growth, we are seeking to employ additional staff at our Beccles manufacturing facility.

LAMINATORS

We are looking for hand laminators.  Ideally people with previous experience, although not essential.  For people with the right attitude and transferable skills, full training will be provided.

TOOLROOM OPERATIVES

Ideally we are looking for people with Pattern Making/ Composite Tool Making type skills.  However, people with wood working, Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP), or paint spraying experience would be considered, as these are seen as transferable skills.

DEVELOPMENT TECHNICIAN

Broadwater is continuously developing it’s manufacturing processes, and is keen to take advantage of the many new materials available to the Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) industry.  We already have an ambitious R and D programme, but would like to strengthen the team further by recruiting a Development Technician.  The ideal candidate would be HNC/HND (or equivalent) qualified, have experience of FRP moulding processes, and have a keen appetite for pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

PRODUCTION ENGINEER

We are looking for an engineer with a background in production support.  Principal responsibility would be to ensure that products are manufactured to the required standards in terms of quality and design intent.  An good understanding of manufacturing processes is important for this role.  Experience in FRP manufacture would be an advantage, but not essential.  The ideal candidate would be HNC/HND (or equivalent) qualified, and would be expected to be customer facing.

COMPOSITE APRENTICE

For the last four years Broadwater has operated a highly successful apprenticeship scheme.  We now have four apprentices, two of which are close to completing their training.  Due to it’s success, we would like to continue the scheme and offer a composite apprenticeship to more young people.  We would like to recruit young people with an aptitude for engineering and things technical, who would perhaps consider applying those skills to composite materials.  Part of the training would include attending a local college on a day release basis in order to study relevant engineering subjects.
